Outsell Selected as Finalist for PR News’ Corporate Social Responsibility Award
The Outsell Caring Committee Initiative Selected as a Top Volunteer Program
Outsell announced today that The Outsell Caring Committee has been selected as a finalist in PR News’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards in the category of Volunteer Program. PR News received thousands of entries and Outsell is one of 5 finalists in this category. The winner will be announced on February 11, 2013 at the CSR Awards Luncheon at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The Outsell Caring Committee is an organization created to give back to the community on a local, national and international scale. The Caring Committee is dedicated to improving these areas through monetary and voluntary contributions, along with adhering to the core values shared by everyone at Outsell. The charities focused upon are chosen by the associates, and the Caring Committee is made up of volunteers from across the company. The Caring Committee is dedicated to providing 3-5% of company profits to charitable organizations each year in conjunction with the Minnesota Keystone Program, while adhering to the core values shared by everyone at Outsell. Some of the organizations that the Caring Committee is currently focused on supporting include, Make A Wish, Humane Society, Boys &Girls Club of America (including the Minneapolis Boys & Girls Club), American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Feed My Starving Children, Pages of Education, Bridges to Learning, Toys for Tots, The True Story Tour, food drives and many other local charities.
PR News’ CSR Awards is the industry’s best showcase for the most powerful, impactful social responsibility and green campaigns. The finalists in this awards program set new standards of excellence and point the way for other organizations to follow. Entries are judged by a blue chip panel of corporate, agency and academic executives as well as by the staff of PR News. The entries are evaluated based on creativity, innovation, sound planning, implementation and outcomes.
